Shed built with retaining wall

The benefits of pouring the slab first are still being able to apply BHPs warranty to the steel as the colorbond does not come into contact with the concrete and in this case the customer did not need to have a retaining wall built.

HIgh pitched roof

Shed Boss can adjust the pitch on the roof. In this case the customer wanted a mezzanine floor for overhead storage in one bay of the shed which due to council requirements could only have a wall height of 3.0m.

Side entry roller doors

Poor building practices customers need to be aware of!

(Left) Cold Form Section Columns and Mullions caste direct into slab without the use of Heavy Duty Galvanized footing bracket. This illustration is an example of poor workmanship where a builder has skimped on procedures and used the wall cladding as boxing, resulting in badly corroded sheets. The lime and salt in the concrete, combined with the condensation (which occurs between the cladding and concrete) has rusted through the cladding. Even placing plastic between the concrete and the shed can increase condensation. As this slab was poured inside the shed, the BHP warranty was voided.

THIS SHED IS LESS THAN 2 YEARS OLD!

At Shed Boss, Genuine BHP Steel is used exclusively in all of our projects and is covered by BHPs warranty (conditions apply). First Grade quality profile sheeting is used on the roof and the walls.

All Shed Boss slabs are a precise size, poured BEFORE your shed is erected – with the wall sheeting extending 50mm down the side of the slab, but doesn’t touch. Thus, the risk of corrosion caused by condensation, or hosing the shed out, is eliminated. Plus your shed is completely weatherproofed. In fact, every bracket in your Shed Boss shed that is in direct contact with the concrete slab is HOT-DIPPED GALVANISED. This is extremely important in a coastal, salt environment.

Carport Gable in Goolwa

This carport gable, featuring Pale Eucalypt ColourBond, was custom built between two buildings. An 8 metre span gives plenty of room for multiple vehicles, and can also be used as an additional outdoor entertaining area.
